The EVO5 is the evolution of the traditional datalogger that over the years has become a standard defacto data acquisition system in a huge amount of championships. With its compact aluminum body it can be easily placed in any vehicle. Its configuration with the new Race Studio 3 software is simple and immediate. The EVO5 features significant improvements such as two multi-channel motorsport connectors which is simple and straightforward and one top quality harness for all your connections. It has a 37 pin connector for main applications like power, CAN, Aim CAN networks and a 22 pin connector for additional functions like CAN2 or digital outputs.
Many sensors can be connected to EVO5:
4 speed inputs, which allow to monitor the different wheels behavior.
1 RPM input, which manages square wave signals transmitted by the ECU, or pulse signals picked from the coil command (low voltage).
1 built-in inertial platform: an integrated three-axial accelerometer and gyro sensor let you have the most powerful system to understand oversteering, understeering, banking, etc.
With the Aim EVO5 Car Racing Data Logger you can configure, calibrate and download your data over a secure 802.11 WiFi connection, even if your car is at 100 meters far from you.

Technical & Installation
For a correct EVO5 installation it is important to follow some simple rules.
Carry out CAN, serial or K-line connection only AFTER performing the logger configuration with Race Studio 3. For a correct working of the integrated three-axial accelerometer and gyroscope, EVO5 is to be placed in a central position of the car (ideally in the vehicle’s centre of gravity).
GPS module is not to be positioned under metal or carbon fibre objects, which would greatly reduce the satellite signal quality. Also avoid the positioning close to other antennas, digital cameras or TFT displays. Finally, avoid installing the product with tense cables.
